White Cane Day!

The Eagle-Glenmoore Lions Club held their White Cane Day fundraiser at the Chester Springs Acme.
The entire day was a success as we were able to raise funds to help us donate to a variety of non-profit charities especially those that help the visually impaired and blind individuals.
The White Cane is a symbol of independence for blind and visually impaired individuals. It became a national holiday in 1964 and stands for celebrating achievement, promoting safety and raising awareness. Guide dogs can also be used to the assist blind and visually impaired. Individuals.
Throughout the year various fundraisers help to support local non-profits: Lions Club Charities, Pediatric Cancer, Beacon Lodge- a camp for children and adults who are blind or have visual impairments, and/or who have physical disabilities, Leader Dogs for the Blind, and Canine Partners for Life are a few non-profits we support.
A big thank you goes out to everyone who helped make the day a real success!
America 250 at the Wallace Township Parade

We had fun celebrationg our nations 250th birthday at the Wallace Townshihp parade on 9/19/2026. There was a lot of fun to be had and a ceremony commemorating our 250th year as a democracy.
Bingo at Marchwood Tavern

We had so much fun at our Bingo Fundraiser! Thanks to everyone who joined in the fun!!
In September we had a very successful Bingo Charity Fundraiser at Marchwood Tavern, 3 Marchwood Rd, Exton, 19341.
Our next Bingo Fundraisers at Marchwood Tavern are in 2027. Save the dates 1/5/27 & 3/2/27, and look for updates for our Bingo fundraisers as we enter the New Year.
Our fundraiser proceeds will be donated to various non-profit charities and Lions Club Charities. Some of the charities we support are pediatric cancer research, donations to organizations that assist the blind and visually impaired, organizations that feed the food insecure and non-profit charities that help those with physical and mental difficulties. We also donate to organizations that train service dogs for people with various disabilities, visual impairments and blindness.
Thank you for joining us for an opportunity to help fundraise for important non-profit and Lions charities.
The Eagle-Glenmoore Annual Golf Outing.

Congratulations to our Golf Outing Winners for First & Second Place. And a special thanks goes out to all of our sponsors.
Our annual Golf Outing was held on June 3rd, and a special thanks goes out to the Spherix Golfing Team for being one of our major sponsors. Golfers enjoyed their golfing day and luncheon at the Downingtown Country Club!

Chicken BBQ

Thank you to everyone who purchased our BBQ dinners on 5/2/26. Tickets were pre-sale only and were sold out before the dinner. We hope you enjoyed your meals!! The event was held at Ludwig’s Corner Fire Co. and we thank the entire Fire Co. for supporting our efforts.
We had a great day and the proceeds will benefit our Lions and local Charities. Thank you.
Diabetes Seminar
4/20/26
The seminar was well attended. Dr. Carpoocio, PCP, Dr. Fish, Optometrist, and Jill Newsham, Dietition, spoke and gave us a lot of helpful information. Attendees said the seminar was engaging very helpful.
Christmas Gift Donations
In December we donated gifts to the Coventry Food Pantry for children and their families to help Santa deliver presents to local familes.

Gifts for the Coatesville VA Medical Center, Decemer 2025:
We donated 4 bags of gifts to the Coatesville VA Medical Center for Christmas. $200 per bag was donated. It was organized by Lions Mary Ann & Lew Riggins, and we are grateful for their contributions and wonderful ideas for our veterans!

Decorating boxes used for food delivery to families and individuals in need of food.
Just a great way to brighten someone’s day.

Thank you to everyone who participated in and donated to the Eagle-Glenmoore Lions Club fundraiser for White Cane and Mental Health & Awareness at the Chester Springs Acme. The event was the most successful year we have had to date!
Golf Outing at the Downingtown Country Club

The night was a great success. We made over $800 that will be donated to our Lions Club charities in May. We combine our fundraiser proceeds and either at the time of the event or later in May we donate to various non-profit charities: pediatric cancer, donating to organizations that feed the food insecure:Chester Co. Food Bank and The Lord’s Pantry, Leader Dogs and Canine Partners for Life to help train service dogs for people with various disabilities and visual impairments and blindness.

The Eagle-Glenmoore Lions Club continues to donate money and goods to The Chester County Food Bank and The Lord’s Pantry.
We also donate funds to our local fire companies to support their work in our local communities.
Christmas Gifts for Children
Our most recent service projects were giving gifts to 6 families that Lionville Elementary school said needed help with Christmas presents.
The families had a total of 10 children in the 6 families. Our members spent $100/child and gave each family a $100 gift card to Walmart to spend on food or other necessities. They were delivered on the 18th of December. We are all hoping that the children enjoyed their Christmas Gifts!
