White Cane & Mental Health & Wellness Fundraiser
October 4th: 10:00am to 5:30pm

Thank you to everyone who participated in and donated to the Eagle-Glenmoore Lions Club fundraiser for White Cane and Mental Health & Awareness at the Chester Springs Acme. The event was the most successful year we have had to date!

The White Cane event is to raise awareness about the white cane, which symbolizes the independence, confidence, and skills of people with visual impairments, and to remind motorists to exercise caution and provide the right-of-way to those using a white cane.  International White Cane Day is October 15th.

We are also dedicated the day to Mental Health & Well Being as it is Mental Health Day on October 10th, and Mental Health & Wellness week 10/4-10/12/25  for the LCI, Lions Club International. The goals are to:

  • Raise Awareness: To make mental health and well-being visible in communities globally.
  • Combat Stigma: To work towards reducing the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health conditions.
  • Provide Support: To connect with vulnerable populations like the elderly and youth.
  • Educate Communities: To spread information about mental health challenges and the importance of well-being.

Christmas Gifts for Children

Our most recent service projects were giving gifts to 6 families that Lionville Elementary school said needed help with Christmas presents.

The families had a total of 10 children in the 6 families. Our members spent $100/child and gave each family a $100 gift card to Walmart to spend on food or other necessities. They were delivered on the 18th of December. We are all hoping that the children enjoyed their Christmas Gifts!
